Caricature artist to share talents at Art Effects

                                                                             

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The Maury Regional Health Care Foundation has announced that local caricature artist Tracy Latham will share his talents as part of Art Effects, the organization’s annual art show and sale. Latham will be available on Saturday, August 3, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to draw caricatures of those attending the event at the Memorial Building in Columbia, according to Foundation Executive Director Joe Kilgore.

Art Effects will be held on Friday, August 2, from noon until 8 p.m., and Saturday, August 3, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited.

Latham, a resident of Lewisburg, is well-known regionally for his unique artistic ability, capturing the likeness of his subject in just three to five minutes. His career as a caricature artist began by drawing guests of Opryland USA in 1985. Currently, he entertains at private engagements and corporate events.

Those who sit for a caricature during Latham’s appearance at Art Effects will be able to take the finished work home. Donations will benefit the foundation’s Dispensary of Hope fund and other medication assistance programs.

“Tracy’s skill as a caricature artist will be a fun addition to this year’s Art Effects. Many people may remember him from his work at Opryland,” said Kilgore. “We invite the public to join us on Saturday, take home a unique keepsake from Tracy and enjoy works of many talented artists from around our region.”
