Eslick Daniel honored for leadership by Maury Regional Health Care Foundation

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Eslick Daniel, M.D., was recently honored by the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation for his service to the organization. Daniel has served as the chair of the Foundation board since its formation in 2006 and has relinquished his chairmanship after more than six years of service, according to Executive Director Joe K. Kilgore.

“Words cannot express the gratitude that I, members of the board and the staff at the medical center feel about the contributions that Eslick has made to the Foundation,” said Kilgore. “In his honor, we have renamed a fund the Dr. Eslick Daniel Youth Health Initiatives Fund. This fund was originally established with a donation from Dr. Daniel shortly after the foundation was formed so the board felt this recognition was a fitting tribute to his service.”

According to Kilgore, the fund established with Daniels’ donation has continued to grow since his initial contribution. This fund has provided $45,000 in programs and services, including automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) to Maury County Schools, purchased health and nutrition curriculum for area schools, supported fitness initiatives with the Boys & Girls Club and much more.

Daniel, a retired orthopedic surgeon, has been an active volunteer in the community. In addition to his service to the Foundation, Daniel has served on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Maury County, the new Wellness and Aquatics Complex and the former YMCA of Maury County.
