MAURY REGIONAL DIABETES EDUCATION GROUP DISCUSSES FOOT CARE

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — The Diabetes Education Group at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) will host a meeting titled “Caring for Your Feet” on Tuesday, August 2, in the medical center’s Private Dining Room One at 11:30 a.m. The group, which meets monthly at MRMC, encourages the public to attend this free event.

Dr. Robert MacArthur, a specialist in podiatry and pedorthics on the medical staff at MRMC, will present a program on foot care for those with diabetes.

“Diabetes can lead to a number of different problems with the feet. Problems that seem ordinary can lead to serious complications, even amputation,” said Donna Shedd, RN, and certified diabetes educator at MRMC. “Dr. MacArthur will discuss ten basic foot care tips to help those with diabetes prevent serious complications.”
