MAURY REGIONAL DIABETES EDUCATION GROUP DISCUSSES MEDICATIONS

COLUMBIA, Tenn.—The Diabetes Education Group at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) will host a meeting titled “Understanding Medication” on Tuesday, July 6, in the medical center’s Private Dining Room One at 11:30 a.m. The group, which meets monthly at MRMC, encourages the public to attend this free event.

Dr. Sami Naddy, a local pharmacist, will facilitate an open forum discussion, allowing people to ask questions about the medicines they take.

“Some diabetics control their blood glucose with diet and exercise, some with pills, and others with insulin or other injected medicines,” said Donna Shedd, diabetes program coordinator. “Additionally, many people with diabetes balance a variety of medications for various conditions every day. At the upcoming meeting, we’ll learn more about different medications and diabetes treatments.”
