MAURY REGIONAL DIABETES EDUCATION GROUP DISCUSSES FOOD CRAVINGS

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — The Diabetes Education Group at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) will host a meeting titled “Overcoming Sweet Cravings” on Tuesday, March 1, in the medical center’s Private Dining Room One at 11:30 a.m. The group, which meets monthly at MRMC, encourages the public to attend this free event.

Jason Mallory, a dietitian at the medical center, will discuss food cravings and offer some tips on resisting the urge to eat something sweet.

“Many people with diabetes struggle to maintain a healthy diet,” said Mallory. “It can be especially difficult when they experience the urge to eat sweets. At our upcoming meeting, we will talk about what triggers those cravings and how those with diabetes can overcome them.”
