MAURY REGIONAL DIABETES EDUCATION GROUP DISCUSSES DEPRESSION

COLUMBIA, Tenn.— The Diabetes Education Group at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) will host a meeting titled “Diabetes and Depression” on Tuesday, May 4, in the medical center’s Private Dining Room One at 11:30 a.m. The group, which meets monthly at MRMC, encourages the public to attend this free event.

Starlyn Bailey, clinical liaison at Maury Regional Medical Center, will discuss the causes, symptoms and treatments of depression.

“Recent studies have shown a link between diabetes and depression, especially among older adults,” said Donna Shedd, diabetes program coordinator. “Learn more about the correlation and treatment options at our next meeting.”
