MAURY REGIONAL DIABETES EDUCATION GROUP DISCUSSES TIPS FOR SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — The Diabetes Education Group at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) will host a meeting titled “Surviving the Holidays” on Tuesday, October 6, in the medical center’s Private Dining Room One at 11:30 a.m. and again at 6:00 p.m. The group, which meets monthly at MRMC, encourages the public to attend this free event.

Donna Shedd, RN and diabetes program coordinator at MRMC, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting. Shedd will discuss healthy holiday eating, easy exercises, and how to manage holiday social gatherings.

“The most important thing about managing diabetes during any holiday season is to plan ahead. The more you know about what's going to happen, the better you can plan for good diabetes care,” said Shedd.
