GOLF TOURNAMENT BENEFITS MAURY REGIONAL HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION
COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The 2008 Tony Starks Memorial Golf Tournament was held on August 18 and raised approximately $100,000, according to Tedd Comerford, chair of the tournament. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Maury Regional Healthcare Foundation Community Health Program, Special Needs Fund, and The Retreat, a hospitality house for cancer patients.
Winners of the morning round were:
First Flight, First Place: The Redman Davis team of Nick Burgdorf, Andy Crichton, Sonny Shackelford and Chris O’Neill.
First Flight, Second Place: The Travis Electric team of Jeff Barnes, Kenny Vann, Benny Beazley, and Phil Gibson.
Second Flight, First Place: The Story & Lee team of James Story, Richy Story, Roy Story and Jimmy Story.
Second Flight, Second Place: The Maury Regional team of Dustin Flowers, Dave Riddell, Nathan Miller and Rick Harris.
Third Flight, First Place: The team of Jeff Yarborough, Jake Hayes, Jeff Lacy, and Mike Hayes.
Third Flight, Second Place: The Dell team of Rick Stotts, Terry Phillips, Terry Raney, and Neal Shade.
Winners of the afternoon round were:
First Flight, First Place: The Tillman Knox team of Hunter Robinette, Jeff Knox, Tim Knox, and Alan Thomason.
First Flight, Second Place: The SSI team of Jeff Hargrove, Pam Pressnell, Marianne Crawford and Aaron Priest.
Second Flight, First Place: The Morrison’s team of Tim Darrington, Rich Selsor, Kenny Nezat and Hal Johnson.
Second Flight, Second Place: The R.J. Young team of Jeremy Hand, Jason Byrnes, Jason Slaughter, and Bobby Edgel.
Third Flight, First Place: The Smith, Seckman & Reid team of Gavin Green, Russ Murdoch, Andre Fouche and Clark Denson.
Third Flight, Second Place: The Morrison’s team of Michael Fulton, Mac Olivier, Robert Huffman and Jerry Coulter.
Winners of the longest drive contest were Jimmie Carol Hyman and Marianne Crawford in the women’s division and Jason Hilkin and Scotty McCain in the men’s division. Closest-to-the-pin winners were Travis Jones, Clay Buttrey, Charlie Rial, Patrick Klesel, Rodney Adams and Mike Stone. Winners of the putting contest were Kristin Parkes and Kenny Nezat.
The premier sponsor for the tournament was First Farmers and Merchants Bank; tournament sponsors were Balfour Beatty and Hart Freeland Roberts; master’s sponsors were Boston Scientific, Morrison’s Healthcare, and Synthes North America; gold sponsors were A-Z Office Resources, Maury Regional Hospital, McKesson, MedAssets, Inc., Redman-Davis Insurance, and Wells Fargo.
