Maury Regional Health Care Foundation 5K and Fun Run set for May 17

COLUMBIA, Tenn.  – The Maury Regional Health Care Foundation 5K and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, May 17, at Maury County Park. Sign-in and race day registration will begin at 7 a.m. followed by the 5K at 8 a.m. and the one-mile Fun Run at 9 a.m.

This year’s theme is Feed the Need, Run for Fun. Race participants can register in advance online at www.mauryregionalfoundation.com. Registration fees are $25 through May 10 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run. After May 10, fees are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the Fun Run. Minors must be accompanied by an adult who is registered for either the 5K or Fun Run. All 5K participants who register prior to May 2 will receive a T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded by age category to the top three finishers in the men’s and women’s 5K.

Participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Maury Regional Food Pantry. Items needed include low-sodium soups, fruit canned in light syrup, low sodium canned vegetables, dried beans and whole grain crackers.
