Established Funds
The Maury Regional Health Care Foundation, chartered in October 2006, is designated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations are tax-deductible. Gifts may be made in honor or in memory of an individual and may be donated to one of the following funds:
General (Unrestricted) Fund – established for unrestricted donations to the foundation and allows donor gifts to be used in the areas of greatest need.
Community Health Fund – provides resources to assist in addressing the unmet health care needs of under served or uninsured patients in the community.
Dispensary of Hope Fund – provides free non-narcotic medication to qualified patients through an Instant Access Program at the Maury Regional Ambulatory Care Center and Lewis Health Center. Some individuals throughout the region may also qualify for the Continued Access Program for on-going medication needs.
Palliative Care Fund – The purpose of the Palliative Care Fund is to educate staff members and build a palliative care program at MRMC to meet the unique level of care required at the end of life.
Service Funds
The Maury Regional Health Care Foundation has funds established that are specific to certain groups of patients to assist with items such as prescriptions, medical supplies, educational materials and other needs associated with their health condition when they are otherwise unable to obtain such items. Those funds include:
- Cancer Fund
- Cardiology Fund
- Diabetes Fund
- Neonatal Intensive Care Fund
- Pediatric Fund
- Women’s Center Breast Cancer Fund
Special Needs Fund – provides assistance to patients when they are experiencing a financial emergency and are in immediate need of health care services. This fund covers transportation or other medical supplies to patients who do not have financial resources. The Retreat – provides a hospitality home for cancer patients undergoing cancer treatments and family members of neonatal and critical care patients.
William R. Walter Employee Assistance Fund – established to assist Maury Regional Medical Center employees during unexpected emergencies or continuing education.
Youth Health Initiative– provides educational materials and resources to community projects that improve the health care of young individuals.
