Healthy Hearts to meet September 27 in MRMC Annex
COLUMBIA, TN – The Healthy Hearts Education Group of Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) will hold its quarterly meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, in the William R. Walter Educational Conference Center, located in the Maury Regional Annex at 1223½ Trotwood Avenue in Columbia.
MRMC Behavioral Health Clinical Liaison Starlyn Bailey will be the guest speaker for this event. Bailey will discuss the emotional toll of heart disease and offer techniques to manage depression, anxiety and grief associated with heart disease. Bailey has 26 years of nursing experience with a specialty in mental health and substance abuse. She earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree from Columbia State Community College in 1986 and a Bachelor of Arts at the University of St. Francis in 2002.
“Our Healthy Hearts meetings provide a wonderful opportunity to learn from and ask questions of experts in the field of heart disease management,” said Lisa Chambers, nurse manager of the MRMC cardiology unit. “We encourage anyone dealing with this disease as well as their family members to attend this month’s meeting.”
