HEART HEALTH EDUCATION GROUP TO DISCUSS THE IMPACT OF HEART DISEASE

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The Healthy Hearts Education Group at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) will discuss the impact of heart disease on Tuesday, October 4, in the medical center’s Private Dining Room One at 1 p.m. The group, which meets monthly at MRMC, encourages the public to attend this free event.

Tammy Stokes, a registered nurse at the medical center and a heart attack survivor, will share her personal story of living with heart disease. Stokes will discuss the impact that heart disease has had on her family and the lifestyle changes that have been necessary as a result.

“Tammy’s experience is inspirational and is a reminder that heart disease can affect people of all ages,” said Lisa Chambers, nurse manager of the cardiology unit at MRMC. “Those who attend our upcoming meeting will benefit from her positive outlook on living with heart disease.”
