Heart Disease Prevention to be topic of February meeting

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Dr. Janice Vinson, a cardiologist on the medical staff of Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) and Vanderbilt Heart Columbia, and Nurse Practitioner Debbie Craven will be the guest speakers at the next Healthy Hearts Education Group meeting.

The event is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, in the William R. Walter Educational Conference Center of the MRMC Annex located at 1223½ Trotwood Avenue in Columbia. Topics of discussion will include hypertension management, cholesterol control and lifestyle management. There is no charge to attend the meeting.

The Healthy Hearts Education Group meets quarterly at the Annex. Meeting dates for 2013 are February 28, May 23, August 22 and November 21. Anyone interested in learning more about the self-care and management of heart disease is encouraged to attend these free meetings.
