Holiday Hugs program at Maury Regional provides gifts to school children in need

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – More than 700 Maury County school children received coats, sweaters and sweatshirts through this year’s Holiday Hugs program sponsored by Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC). This is the fifteenth year that MRMC has sponsored the Holiday Hugs program.

Employees, physicians and volunteers selected children’s names and purchased gifts of clothing, which were sorted by members of the medical center’s Auxiliary and delivered to schools by Supply Chain and Plant Operations staff members. This year, the program provided gifts to 748 children, according to Volunteer Services Director Cindy Fox.
