MAURY REGIONAL PROVIDES GIFTS TO COUNTY SCHOOL CHILDREN

COLUMBIA, Tenn.— Maury Regional Medical Center sponsored the tenth annual Holiday Hugs gift drive that provides needy school children of Maury County with gifts of winter jackets and clothing. Medical Center employees and volunteers provided gifts to 389 children from 15 Maury County elementary and middle schools this year.

‘We at Maury Regional love working with Maury County Schools to identify children in need during the holidays. The response from our employees and volunteers to make this season memorable for these children was overwhelming,” said Patrick Harlan, director of business development. “This is the second time this year that we have worked with the local school system in helping Maury County children. This fall we participated in the third annual Operation: School Supplies, in which we collected 12 large boxes of supplies and more than $150.”

Gift tags were created with the children’s first names, ages, sizes and their school’s dress code colors, and placed on Christmas trees at the medical center. Wrapped gifts were collected and delivered to the children on December 15.
