COLUMBIA, Tenn.— Maury Regional Home Services has been named to the 2009 HomeCare Elite, a ranking of the top 25 percent of agencies in the nation based on an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance.

The HomeCare Elite annual review is in its fourth year of publication from OCS HomeCare and DecisionHealth, and Maury Regional Home Services is among the six percent of agencies that have been recognized every year.

“We received this recognition based on the outstanding quality of care that our staff provides to patients day after day. It is not something for which we apply, but rather an evaluation by an outside party that independently measures our performance. Our staff strives to provide outstanding patient care by following best practices that are proven to improve patient outcomes. Their commitment to excellence has benefited thousands of patients in our region,” said Debbie Bratton, director of home services.

Maury Regional Home Services offers a variety of services that include nursing care, rehabilitation services such as physical therapy, medical social workers, and much more. Services are available in Maury, Marshall, Lawrence, Williamson and Lewis counties, and portions of Giles and Hickman counties.

Earlier this year, Maury Regional Home Services was also awarded the Five-Star Excellence Award from Professional Research Consultants (PRC), the firm specializing in market research exclusively for health care that conducts the hospital’s patient satisfaction surveys. For the past quarter, Maury Regional Home Services has been in the 100th percentile for satisfaction and has maintained patient satisfaction scores at or above the 90th percentile since January 2009.

"The HomeCare Elite has become the industry standard for identifying home health agencies that perform at the highest level," says Amanda Twiss, president and CEO of OCS HomeCare. "We congratulate the 2009 HomeCare Elite for their continued success and commitment to both high quality and strong financial performance."
"DecisionHealth commends the top HomeCare Elite home health agencies that work so hard to provide quality care while maintaining solid financial outcomes," says Doreen Bieryla, president, DecisionHealth. "This is a big feat given the flurry of legislative and regulatory changes that present ongoing challenges for the home health industry."
