MAURY REGIONAL INFERTILITY SUPPORT GROUP SCHEDULED

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Maury Regional Medical Center will host an Infertility Support Group meeting on Thursday, December 10, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the fourth floor classroom of the medical center.

During this seminar, Julie Heffington, childbirth coordinator at Maury Regional Medical Center, will discuss infertility treatments, medications, nutrition, exercise, in vitro fertilization (IVF), intra-uterine insemination (IUI) and much more.

“Approximately 6.1 million couples in the United States, or 10 percent of all couples of childbearing age, have difficulty conceiving,” said Heffington.

“There is a tremendous benefit to being able to bond with others who understand the trials and challenges of infertility based on their own personal experiences.  In this group, we discuss the options available to those who are trying to conceive as well as offer support to couples dealing with infertility.”

The Infertility Support Group is open to any couple experiencing difficulty conceiving. Each meeting, participants learn about and discuss topics such as infertility treatments, medications, nutrition, exercise, in vitro fertilization, intra-uterine insemination and much more.
