LACC HOSTS FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR

HOHENWALD, Tenn.—The Lewis Ambulatory Care Center is hosting a health fair on October 4, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the community building at Lewis County Park. The event will feature more than 40 booths offering services from child fingerprinting to free screenings, according to Dr. Dustin Flowers, director. Screenings and wellness tests will include:

  • Cholesterol/glucose screening
  • Body fat analysis
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Oxygen saturation
  • Body mass index (BMI)
  • Heart risk assessment
  • Posture screening
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Skin cancer screening
  • Bone density testing
  • Grip strength testing

In addition, there will be informational booths on women’s health, nutrition, home health services, insurance, emergency response agencies, school health, the Imagination Library and much more. Children will be able to enjoy a variety of games and activities and visit with Health E. Hound.

The public is encouraged to attend this free informative health fair sponsored by Lewis Ambulatory Care Center, Lewis County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cornerstone Health Systems, Wal-Mart, Medical Necessities & Services, Health Angels and Tennessee Quality Home Care & Hospice.
