HUNDREDS ATTEND LEWIS HEALTH CENTER ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR

HOHENWALD, Tenn. – The Lewis Health Center hosted their annual health fair on September 26, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the community building at Lewis County Park.

The event featured more than 30 booths offering free information and services. Screenings and wellness tests included: cholesterol/glucose screening, body fat analysis, blood pressure checks, hearing screening, oxygen saturation, body mass index (BMI), posture screening, pulmonary function testing, skin cancer screening, and bone density testing.

Nearly 250 community members attended the health fair. More than 80 people took advantage of the free cholesterol and glucose screenings, 23 received a hearing screening, and 36 received a skin cancer screening performed by board-certified radiation oncologist Dr. Michael Sattasiri, a physician on the medical staff at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The free health fair was sponsored by Lewis Health Center, Lewis County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wal-Mart, Tennessee Quality Home Care, Buffalo Valley, State Farm, Health Angels and Medical Necessities, LLC.
