HUNDREDS ATTEND LEWIS HEALTH CENTER ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR

HOHENWALD, Tenn. – The Lewis Health Center hosted its annual health fair on September 18, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the community building at Lewis County Park.

The event featured more than 20 booths offering free information and services. Screenings and wellness tests included: cholesterol/glucose screening, blood pressure checks, oxygen saturation, body mass index (BMI), pulmonary function testing, skin cancer screening, and bone density testing.

More than 260 community members attended the health fair. Approximately 120 people took advantage of the free cholesterol and glucose screenings, 70 received a bone density analysis, and more than 50 received a skin cancer screening performed by board-certified radiation oncologist Dr. Joel Kochanski, a physician on the medical staff at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The free health fair was sponsored by Lewis Health Center, Lewis County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, A Better Life Senior Services, Advanced Home Medical, Alliance Imaging, Health Angels, Tennessee Quality Home Care, and State Representative Dr. Joey Hensley.
