Marshall Medical Center offers free sports physicals for high school athletes

LEWISBURG, Tenn. — Marshall Medical Center (MMC) will offer free sports physicals for high school students on Wednesday, April 17. Physicals will be offered from 3 until 5:30 p.m. at the MMC Medical Office Building, located at 1090 North Ellington Parkway, adjacent to the medical center. The clinic will be held on the facility’s first floor.

Physicians on the medical staff at MMC will be joined by physical therapists, athletic trainers and nurses to conduct the free screenings for student athletes who are entering grades ten through twelve in Marshall County. Assisting MMC in offering the screenings will be Fast Pace Urgent Care Clinic, Mid-Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic and PCL Express Walk-In Clinic. A separate clinic for students entering grades seven through nine will be held at a later date.

“We are pleased to once again partner with physicians from our medical staff to offer these important screenings as a public service to our local high school athletes,” said Jamie Davis, director of MMC physical therapy services.

 The following times have been scheduled for the clinic:

  • Forrest High School                      3:00 – 3:45 p.m.
  • Marshall County High School       3:45 – 4:30 p.m.
  • Cornersville High School              4:30 – 5:15 p.m
