Marshall Medical Center offers free sports physicals for student athletes

LEWISBURG, Tenn. — Marshall Medical Center (MMC) will offer free sports physicals for high school students on Thursday, April 24. Physicals will be offered from 1:30 until 5 p.m. at the MMC Medical Office Building, located at 1090 North Ellington Parkway, adjacent to the medical center. The clinic will be held on the facility’s first floor.

Physicians on the medical staff at MMC will be joined by physical therapists, athletic trainers and nurses to conduct the free screenings for student athletes who are entering grades nine through twelve in Marshall County.

Free screenings will be offered to students from:

  • Marshall County High School
  • Cornersville High School
  • Forrest High School

A separate clinic for students entering seventh and eighth grades will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 3 until 5 p.m. in the same location.

“We are pleased to be able to partner with physicians from our medical staff and other organizations to offer these free screenings to student athletes in our community,” said MMC Physical Medicine Director Jamie Davis.

Assisting MMC in offering the screenings will be Family Health Group, Celebration Family Care, Fast Pace Urgent Care Clinic, Mid-Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic and PCL Express Walk-In Clinic.
