MARSHALL MEDICAL CENTER SPORTS PHYSICALS PROVIDED TO STUDENT ATHLETES

LEWISBURG, Tenn. – As a free public service to the community, Marshall Medical Center (MMC) provided school sports physicals to high school athletes in Marshall County. More than 200 students participated in the event held on Thursday, May 21 at Marshall County High School.

“We had a great turn out for the event. All student athletes are required to have a physical, and we gladly paired with physicians to provide this service. Thank you once again to everyone involved,” said CEO Phyllis Brown.

Dr. Jeffrey T. Adams and Dr. Scott W. McCall, specialists in orthopedic surgery; Dr. Devi Newcomb, a specialist in family medicine; and Nicci Tincher, nurse practitioner, along with physical therapists and other MMC staff provided their services at the event.

Student athletes grades 10 through 12 of Cornersville, Forrest and Marshall County high schools were eligible to attend and receive a free physical, which included blood pressure, height and weight, strength and range of motion screenings. Vision screenings were provided by Advanced Eye Care.
