Marshall Medical Center presents college scholarship awards

LEWISBURG, Tenn. — Marshall Medical Center (MMC) has awarded college scholarships to two area high school students who plan to pursue careers in health care, according to CEO Phyllis Brown.

Hannah Cross and Dayrin Jones, both seniors at Marshall County High School, were the recipients of the 2012 Medical Career Scholarship awarded yearly by MMC. The $1,000 scholarships are presented to students pursuing a career in the human medicine field.

This is the 16th year that MMC has awarded scholarships to area high school students through the Partners in Education program.

“Marshall Medical Center is pleased to provide scholarships in recognition of the achievements by these two outstanding students,” said Lisa Steely, senior accountant and Partners in Education coordinator for MMC. “We look forward to presenting these awards each year, and hope to continue supporting our local school system through participation in the Partners in Education program.”
