NEW CHAPEL HILL PHYSICIAN OFFICE OPENS

Public invited to September 27 open house

CHAPEL HILL, Tenn. – Marshall Medical Center (MMC) and Family Health Group (FHG) will be hosting a community open house at the new Chapel Hill clinic on September 27, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The community is invited to meet Dr. Devi Newcomb, tour the new facility and enjoy refreshments.

Dr. Newcomb, a specialist in family medicine, will begin seeing patients in the new clinic on September 17. She has been practicing in Marshall County since 2004, most recently serving the residents of Chapel Hill in the clinic at 111 South Horton Parkway.

“While Family Health Group has been serving the residents of Chapel Hill since 2005, we’re pleased to have this new larger facility to better serve the community,” said Newcomb.

The new 3,098 sq. ft. facility, located at 4696 Nashville Highway, will be open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The office will offer six exam rooms, with plans to include X-ray and other services as volumes increase. Patients will be seen by appointment; however, walk-ins will be accepted.

Dr. Newcomb received her medical degree from the University of Texas, in Galveston and completed her residency at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, Michigan. She is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Newcomb’s staff will include Rebecca Byrd, RN, and Cathy Bowman, patient services representative.

Ken Rhudy, chief executive officer of MMC, added, “Chapel Hill is experiencing rapid growth and Marshall Medical Center is pleased to join Family Health Group in providing primary care services for the residents in this growing area.”
