MAURY REGIONAL EMS AND VANDERBILT OFFER TRAINING PROGRAM
Cardiologist Daniel J. Skarzynski, M.D., will be the featured speaker at EMS Night Out South on Tuesday, February 7. The program, organized by Maury Regional Hospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Auxiliary Conference Room at Maury Regional Hospital.
Dr. Skarzynski, a board-certified cardiologist on the medical staff at Maury Regional Hospital, will review the current standard of care for pre-hospital management of cardiovascular emergencies, with particular attention to patients presenting with chest pain. Another focus of this presentation will be to discuss the capabilities of the cardiac services available at Maury Regional Hospital’s Heart Center, including recent technology advances in the cardiovascular laboratories.
Those encouraged to attend include emergency medical technicians, critical care nurses, paramedics, and occupational medicine personnel.
