GLUTEN-FREE SUPPORT GROUP MEETS TO DISCUSS NEW RECIPES
Dr. Amit Choksi will be the featured speaker at the next gluten-free support group meeting held at Maury Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 23. The program will be held at 6:00 p.m. in private dining room one on the ground floor of the hospital.
Dr. Choksi, a board certified gastroenterologist, will discuss the signs, symptoms and diagnosis of celiac disease, a condition that makes a person unable to tolerate wheat, rye and barley.
The Gluten-free Support Group helps people learn about products and recipes that help to maintain a gluten-free diet for those with Celiac disease. Attendees include patients, their family members and anyone else who may be interested. Meetings are held quarterly at Maury Regional Hospital.
