MAURY REGIONAL HOSPITAL PROVIDES GIFTS TO COUNTY SCHOOLCHILDREN

COLUMBIA, Tenn.— Maury Regional Hospital sponsored the ninth annual Holiday Hugs gift drive that provides needy schoolchildren of Maury County with gifts of winter jackets and clothing. Hospital employees, medical staff and volunteers provided gifts to 348 children from 15 Maury County elementary schools this year.

“We’re always pleased to help local children in need. This is the second project the hospital has sponsored this year that benefits the Maury County school system. The hospital’s response to both Holiday Hugs and Operation: School Supplies, conducted this fall, has been overwhelming,” said Cindy Fox, director of community relations.

Gift tags were created with the children’s names, ages and sizes and placed on Christmas trees at the hospital.  Wrapped gifts were collected and delivered to the children on December 12, with the assistance of Maury Regional’s Plant Operations and Materials Management Departments.
