MAURY REGIONAL WOMEN'S CENTER HOSTS FREE LUNCHEON FOR WOMEN

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The Maury Regional Hospital Women’s Center will be hosting a free luncheon program titled Women Helping Women on Wednesday, February 14, at 12:00 p.m. in the Auxiliary Conference Room at Maury Regional Hospital. Women Helping Women is a free quarterly lunch and learn series that addresses women's health issues.

In recognition of Heart Month, Dr. Janice Vinson, a cardiologist on the medical staff at Maury Regional Hospital, will discuss women's heart health and ways that women can protect themselves against heart disease. According to the American Heart Association, coronary heart disease (which causes heart attacks) is the leading cause of death for American women. Nearly twice as many women in the United States die of heart disease and stroke as from all forms of cancer.

The public is invited to attend this event. Lunch will be provided. Reservations must be made by calling 931.381.1111, ext. 1003, by February 7.
