WORK BEGINS FOR NEW MAURY REGIONAL FACILITY IN SPRING HILL

SPRING HILL, Tenn. – Maury Regional Medical Center’s (MRMC’s) expanded presence in Spring Hill began to take shape in November as developer Spring Hill Equity Partners, LLC, began site work for the new 62,365 sq. ft. facility located near the intersection of Port Royal and Reserve.

MRMC Chief Operating Officer Alan Watson stated, “The facility will house a proposed ambulatory surgery center, owned by Maury Regional and operated by Vanderbilt Operative Services. We anticipate the certificate of need for the ambulatory surgery center will be reviewed at the Health Services and Development Agency meeting in February.

“In addition, Maury Regional will also offer cancer services, a physical therapy center, a specialty clinic and physician practices in the new building. We believe that the services in this facility will provide for the greatest needs that exist in Spring Hill.”

According to Watson, the new facility will bring more physicians to the area, including specialists, with more than 28,000 sq. ft. dedicated to physician-driven services. MRMC anticipates the building will be complete by September 2012.

“The facility will in every way reflect the commitment of Maury Regional to provide the highest quality health care possible in a comfortable, convenient and accessible setting,” said Norm Brinkman, managing member for Spring Hill Equity Partners, LLC, the developer of the building.

This facility will complement the building MRMC constructed on Main Street in 1998. This facility is home to a three-physician primary care practice and an imaging center that offers MRI, CT, digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry and general X-ray services.
