WAYNE MEDICAL CENTER AND COMMUNITY TO HONOR RETIRING CEO

WAYNESBORO, Tenn. —  The employees, physicians and board of directors of Wayne Medical Center (WMC) invite the community to attend a reception in honor of retiring CEO Mike Sears. The reception in Sears’ honor will be held on Friday, July 1, from 10 a.m. until noon in the First Floor Conference Room at WMC.

“Mike has been a valued and dedicated leader for Wayne Medical Center for more than six years. We all join in wishing him well upon his retirement and encourage members of the community to attend the upcoming reception to show their appreciation,” said Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Alan Watson.

Sears began his tenure with WMC in 2005 as chief financial officer and was appointed CEO in 2008. Sears received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and had worked in the health care industry for approximately 30 years prior to joining WMC.

Sears is a member of the Waynesboro Rotary Club and the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce board of directors. He is an avid cyclist and has been an active supporter of the annual Wayne County bicycle event, Tour de Wayne.
