Ambulance Service

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is an “A” rated ambulance service. This rating, the highest possible rating in the state, is the result of proper equipment and well-trained personnel.

EMS in Lewis County operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ambulances are staffed with paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs). These medical professionals have state of Tennessee certification to provide the highest quality emergency medical care.

Laboratory

Lewis Health Center conducts a variety of routine diagnostic tests such as blood sugar levels, complete blood counts, cholesterol, pregnancy testing, strep throat screening, urinalysis and many others. The establishment of a daily courier service to the Maury Regional Medical Center laboratory allows transport of specimens for additional non-routine blood work. This service provides the quick, comprehensive testing of a large medical center laboratory with the convenience of being able to have the blood drawn and results provided locally.

Physical Therapy

The Physical Therapy Department at the Lewis Health Center provides a vast array of rehabilitation programs to improve quality of life. Services include:

• Orthopedic rehabilitation
• Sports injuries
• Spine rehabilitation
• Wound care (including burns)
• Neurological rehabilitation (strokes, spinal cord/head injuries, etc.)

Office Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Industrial Physicals

The Lewis Health Center provides industrial physicals for employees of area companies, allowing them information to make an accurate assessment of an employee's fitness to begin or return to work following an injury. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, please call 931.796.4901.

Diagnostic Imaging

The Radiology Department has the latest in diagnostic imaging technology and is staffed with licensed radiologic technologists. All images are interpreted by board certified radiologists on staff at Maury Regional Medical Center. Services include:

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Mammography
• Ultrasound
• X-Ray

Specialty Center

The Lewis Health Center opened the Specialty Center to better serve the health care needs of the people of Lewis County and the surrounding area. The physicians who see patients are some of the area's most respected specialists. Specialties include:
