Smoking Cessation Program

Smoking Cessation Classes are held quarterly at Maury Regional Medical Center on the first four Mondays of January, April, July and October from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room at the medical center. The program consists of a series of four classes:

  • Class I: Starting Out & Removing Roadblocks
  • Class II: Getting Ready to Quit
  • Class III: Staying Off Cigarettes
  • Questions and Celebrations

All instructors are former smokers and health professionals who understand the challenges that come with breaking the habit. Group interaction is promoted in an effort to develop a support network among those with the same goal—to stop smoking. Individuals may join at any time and attend as many sessions as they like. Participants are required to purchase a $10 class guide with exercises for each class topic.
