COLUMBIA, Tenn. — If you have decided to break the habit of smoking, Maury Regional Medical Center offers support through a group smoking cessation program during the months of July and August.

The program will consist of a series of four classes held each Monday beginning July 11 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the First Floor Conference Room at the medical center. Classes are as follows:

  • July 11 – Starting Out & Removing Roadblocks
  • July 18 – Getting Ready to Quit
  • July 25 – Staying Off Cigarettes
  • August 1 – Questions and Celebrations

All instructors are former smokers and health professionals who understand the challenges that come with breaking this habit. Group interaction will be promoted in an effort to develop a support network among those with the same goal—to stop smoking. Participants are required to purchase a $10 class guide with exercises for each class topic.
