MAURY REGIONAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION HONORS CRAWFORD FAMILY WITH UNSUNG HERO AWARD

COLUMBIA, Tenn.— The Maury Regional Health Care Foundation recognized the Crawford family with the Unsung Hero Award at the Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) awards banquet on May 18. The Unsung Hero Award recognizes a native or current resident of Maury County who has consistently made the county a better place to live but has sought no public recognition

The Unsung Hero Committee of the foundation selected the Crawford family for their years of dedicated service to Maury Regional Medical Center and the community. The award recognizes Murphy Crawford, Jr., James “Pete” Crawford (deceased), Betty Crawford Baxter, Nancy Crawford Johnson and Susie Crawford Whittaker (deceased). Brenda Sewell, was present to accept the award on behalf of her mother, Susie Crawford Whittaker, and Sharnell Poulson was present to accept the award on behalf of her father Pete Crawford. The five Crawford siblings worked for Maury Regional for a combined 175 years.

“The Crawfords have been dedicated employees to Maury Regional Medical Center, having served our community by making a difference in the lives of patients and their families. They are very deserving of this honor,” said Dr. Eslick Daniel, Chairman of the Foundation board of directors.
