MAURY REGIONAL WOMEN'S CENTER HOSTS FREE LUNCHEON FOR WOMEN

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The Maury Regional Hospital Women’s Center will be hosting a free luncheon program titled Women Helping Women on Wednesday, August 13, at 12:00 p.m. in the Auxiliary Conference Room at Maury Regional Hospital.

Dr. Joel Hargrove, a board certified gynecologist, will discuss menopause and hormone replacement therapy. Menopause is a natural part of the aging process for women in which menstruation and fertility cease. Hormonal fluctuations during menopause cause physical changes in a woman’s body that may result in hot flashes, sleep disturbances and mood swings among other symptoms. Dr. Hargrove will address the risks, benefits and alternatives to hormone replacement for those experiencing menopause.

The public is invited to attend this event. Lunch will be provided. Reservations must be made by calling 931.540.4166.

Women Helping Women is a free quarterly lunch and learn series that addresses health issues facing women today.
