COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The Maury Regional Women’s Center will host a free luncheon program titled Women Helping Women on Wednesday, June 29, at noon in the Auxiliary Conference Room at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC).

Jessica Tuggle, a health initiatives representative with the American Cancer Society (ACS), will be the guest speaker. Tuggle is assigned to the Middle Tennessee area and works with treatment facilities and medical centers to ensure that patients have access to diagnosis-specific information and resources available in their area.

At the upcoming program, Tuggle will discuss services offered to area patients, including the new ACS Cancer Resource Center located at MRMC. The center is staffed by trained and certified volunteers and offers cancer patients, their family members and caregivers a source of information to help manage all aspects of their care.

“The American Cancer Society provides a wide range of programs and services to people facing cancer,” Tuggle said. “I look forward to sharing information on the support that is available to patients in this community, including the new opportunities being offered in the Cancer Resource Center.”

Following the program, guests will have an opportunity to visit the center and learn about volunteer opportunities that are available.

The public is invited to attend this event. Lunch will be provided. Reservations must be made by calling 931.540.4166.
