FAIRCLOTH APPOINTED WAYNE MEDICAL CENTER CEO

WAYNESBORO, Tenn. — Gerald Faircloth has accepted the position of chief executive officer at Wayne Medical Center (WMC), according to Alan Watson, senior vice president and chief operating officer for Maury Regional Medical Center, which operates WMC.

Faircloth, who began work on July 18, has more than 30 years of experience in for-profit and not-for-profit acute care hospitals. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for a 300-bed health system in Georgia.

“Gerald’s extensive senior management, financial, strategic planning and physician relations experience will be extremely valuable to Wayne Medical Center,” said Watson.

Faircloth is a graduate of Troy University in Troy, Alabama. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and board certified in health care management.
