Wayne Medical Center sponsors free community health fair in Collinwood

WAYNESBORO, Tenn. — Wayne Medical Center (WMC) will host its seventh annual community health fair on Saturday, April 26, according to CEO Harley Smith. The event will be held at Collinwood Middle School, located at 300 4th Avenue North in Collinwood, from 8:00 a.m. until noon. All community members are encouraged to attend this free event.

The health fair will feature free health screenings, health and wellness information, kids’ activities, free refreshments and door prizes. Screenings will include:

  • Cholesterol and glucose screening (participants must be fasting)
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Blood typing
  • Bone density screening
  • Dental screening for children
  • Oxygen saturation
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Sleep study screening 

Door prizes to be given away include a PSA test, mammogram, complete bone mineral density test, EKGs and many others.

Health fair sponsors are Wayne Medical Center, Duren’s Health Mart Pharmacy, Lifespan Health, Wayne County Bank, Bank of Collinwood, Collinwood Drugs, Deaconess Home Care, Peoples Bank, TN Quality Homecare and Hospice, Volunteer Homecare of West TN, Volunteer Hospice, Wayne County Assisted Living and Wayne County Nursing Home.
