WMC radiologic technologist recognized for work with radiology students

WAYNESBORO, TN – Christi Thompson, a radiologic technologist at Wayne Medical Center (WMC), has been recognized for her work with radiologic technology students at Columbia State Community College (CSCC).

Thompson recently received the Certificate of Excellence Award for Clinical Educators from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology. The award recognizes clinical educators from JRCERT-accredited programs for achieving excellence in the radiologic sciences.

The faculty members of the Radiology Technology program at CSCC selected Thompson as the recipient of the 2014 award. Thompson has been employed at WMC for 11 years and has served as a clinical instructor for CSCC radiologic technology students since 2005. She was selected for the award for her dedication to the program, adherence to policies and willingness to share her knowledge with her students.
