Wayne Medical Center invites community to participate in new volunteer program

WAYNESBORO, Tenn. — Wayne Medical Center (WMC) is currently developing a volunteer program and invites members of the community to participate.

According to Chief Nursing Officer Diane Perry-Craig, a wide range of volunteer opportunities are available at WMC. Volunteer duties could include greeting patients and visitors, assisting visitors at registration and rounding in patient rooms to provide comfort items such as blankets and refreshments. Volunteers may also assist staff members with filing, restocking office supplies and work on special projects.

“We are looking for compassionate and caring individuals to serve alongside our staff and physicians to provide excellent care for our patients,” said Perry-Craig. “Members of our community who are looking for a chance to make a difference in the lives of others are encouraged to consider volunteering at the medical center. Volunteers may choose to work as few or as many hours as their schedule allows.”
