Wayne Medical Center offers Christmas cheer to local families

WAYNESBORO, Tenn. — Employees and physicians at Wayne Medical Center (WMC) helped to make the holidays brighter for several families and individuals in the community this year.

WMC recently wrapped up its annual Christmas Outreach Program, a project organized by staff members to assist families in the community during the holidays. Employees submitted names of persons who have faced hardships during the past year. Staff members then contributed donations of money, gifts and food to provide Christmas cheer for these individuals.

This year, four Wayne County families—including 11 children ranging in age from 1 to 16—received gifts of food, clothing and toys.

“It has been heartwarming to see our employees and physicians join together on this project,” said WMC CEO Harley Smith. “We hope that our efforts provided a brighter Christmas for the families who received these gifts.”

WMC has sponsored the Christmas Outreach Program for more than ten years.
