Wayne Medical Center announces new therapy services and new outpatient therapy location

WAYNESBORO, Tenn. — Wayne Medical Center (WMC) is pleased to announce the addition of new therapy services and the opening of a new outpatient therapy facility, according to CEO Harley Smith. The WMC Therapy Center is located at 308 Highway 64 East in Waynesboro, east of the Mangubat Drive entrance to the medical center.

The new facility offers outpatient therapy services for those recovering from illness, injury, orthopedic surgery, stroke and other conditions. The therapy center features state-of-the-art equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, arm and leg bikes and step machines.

To complement the full range of inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services offered by WMC, the medical center recently added occupational and speech therapy services, including therapy for pediatric patients.

“We are pleased to expand the therapy services available to our community members—including pediatric patients—with the addition of licensed occupational and speech therapists to our staff,” said Smith. “With the opening of our new outpatient facility, patients can benefit from physical, occupational and speech therapy services in a convenient setting.”

Outpatient therapy services are provided with a physician’s order. For more information, call 722.2063.
