MAURY REGIONAL EMS PRESENTS FREE CPR PROGRAM FOR WILLIAMSPORT

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will offer a free community CPR program in the Williamsport area on Thursday, July 21, at 6 p.m. The program will be held at the fire department building on Williamsport Pike near the Woodrow Community Center.

The program will be taught by certified CPR instructors from Maury Regional EMS and will be based on the American Heart Association’s guidelines. This interactive and educational session will provide hands-on training in the basics of CPR; however, this is not a certification course.

During the “411 on 911” segment, learn about emergency medical services, including when to call 911 and the actions that emergency personnel take to immediately initiate patient care. Participants will also find out how professionals in the emergency department communicate with EMS to prepare for a patient’s arrival and treatment.

Registration is not required. For more information, call 931.381.1111, extension 2608.
