The Stroke Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. in the Maury Regional Annex located at 1223 Trotwood Avenue. This support group is for those who have experienced a stroke as well as their family, caregivers and friends. A free expectant parent class, “Just for Siblings,” meets from 9 until 11 a.m. This class involves fun activities for your child to learn about their new sibling. A tour of the women's floor will be given to familiarize your child with where they will see their new sibling for the first time. This class is recommended for children ages 3 and over and an adult must attend with the child. Pre-registration is required and available here. The Diabetes Education Group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m. in Maury Regional Medical Center's Auxiliary Conference Room. The Coping with Cancer Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. in the MRMC Cancer Center at the Columbia Mall. The mission of the group is to support those who are diagnosed with cancer, as well as their friends and family, and to provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges, frustrations, fears and feelings associated with cancer. This group is for new and expectant mothers to find encouragement from veteran mothers who understand the challenges that breastfeeding can present.
