Critical Care Services
For critically ill patients,
Maury Regional Hospital has three critical care units. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) offer around-the-clock care by physicians and registered nurses who are trained
in the special needs of critical care patients.
The ICU and CCU provide state-of-the-art
care for patients who have experienced significant trauma,
as well as those recovering from many surgical procedures and critical illnesses.
Providing an additional level of specialization, Maury Regional's CVICU provides care for patients who are recovering from heart surgery.
ICU and CVICU also have step-down units for patients requiring a less acute level of care.

Family Members
We request that only immediate family visit patients in the ICU, CCU and CVICU. At times, visitation may be interrupted for patient care, but will resume as soon as possible. A waiting room is conveniently located outside each unit and is open 24 hours/day.
In the step-down units, one family member/significant other may stay with the patient at all times (24 hours a day). During visiting hours, the patient may have two visitors at a time. If more than two visitors wish to see the patient, the time must be divided among those wanting to visit.
Contacting CCU Nurses
Immediate family members may call 931.381.1111 from outside the hospital to speak with nurses in the critical care units. The operator will connect you if you are a member of the immediate family. Please be aware that patient phones are available only in the step-down unit rooms.
Due to our commitment to patient confidentiality, only limited information will be given over the telephone.
