Expectant Parent Classes
Babies may not come
with instruction books, but it’s good to know there’s plenty of
help available as you learn about your new baby. Our classes are led
by trained professional staff who use seminars, class discussions, slides
and video to help new parents get the skills they need to get started,
and to help veteran parents brush up. Maury Regional Medical Center offers expectant parent
classes all year long. A schedule of classes is listed below. On-line registration is available. If you prefer to print the form, you'll need Adobe Reader, a free program available here.

Just for Siblings
New brothers and sisters are created when your new baby arrives. Your child(ren) will learn
about the appearance and behaviors of their new sibling. They will be exposed to ways they
can help you with the new baby. You, as the parent, will be introduced to ways to foster self-
esteem and promote feelings of self-worth in your child. A tour of the women’s floor will be given
to familiarize your child with where they will see their new sibling for the first time. Classes are held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
