Admitting your patient
If you have a patient who needs observation or inpatient care, please call the Patient Management Center and ask to speak with a hospital medicine physician to make arrangements for your patient.

To help expedite the transfer of your patients, please have the following:
- Referring physician or hospital’s name and contact information
- Patient’s name, age and date of birth
- Clinical status
Patients should arrive at our Admitting Office near the main lobby of the medical center within one hour or call the number above if they have been delayed. Hours are 6:30 a.m.- 8:30 p.m. Those arriving after 8:30 p.m. should call 931.490.7000 for further instructions.
Patient Instructions
- Please bring any notes/records that your provider has given to you.
- Bring a list of the medications, including dosage information, or your prescription bottles.
- Please be prepared to stay if necessary. Notify a family member or friend and leave valuables such as jewelry at home.

Pediatric Admission
The MRMG Hospital Medicine group provides 24 hour, in-house pediatric physician coverage. Additionally, many of our nursing staff has completed additional training at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in the pediatric intensive care unit and emergency department. Common diagnoses we treat include:
- Acute gastroenteritis
- Appendicitis
- Bronchiolitis
- Cellulitis
- Neonatal jaundice
- Pneumonia
About the hospital medicine program
Hospital medicine physicians at Maury Regional Medical Center are members of Maury Regional Medical Group (MRMG), an affiliate of Maury Regional Health. Most physicians are boarded in internal medicine and pediatrics and care for patients in both inpatient and observation settings.
