Heart Failure to be topic at next Healthy Hearts meeting

                                                                                                     

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Dr. Christopher Bingham, a specialist in internal medicine and pediatrics on the medical staff of Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC), will be the special guest speaker at the May 23 meeting of the MRMC Healthy Hearts Education Group.

Topics of discussion will include: 

  • What is heart failure?
  • What are the different types?
  • How do we treat it?
  • What is your doctor’s goal and what should your goal be?
  • How do I stay out of the hospital and on the golf course?

The Healthy Hearts Education Group meets quarterly at 6 p.m. at the MRMC Annex, located across from the medical center and next to McDonald's at 1223 ½ Trotwood  Avenue.

Healthy Hearts Education Group meetings are free and open to the public. Anyone interested in learning more about the self-care and management of heart disease is encouraged to attend.
