More About Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

In addition to delivering care and rehabilitation to patients in the hospital and Skilled Nursing Unit, Maury Regional has developed its outpatient rehabilitation services with convenience and ease of access in mind.  The Maury Regional Physical Therapy Center is located at 858 West James Campbell Boulevard with convenient parking and a covered entrance. Extended outpatient therapy hours are offered to accommodate those who require sessions before or after work.

Aquatic Physical Therapy 

Aquatic physical therapy is a safe, low-impact treatment for patients with certain conditions.  Those who may benefit include patients who have experienced:

• Orthopedic problems, pre-operative and post-operative
• Arthritis
• Fibromyalgia
• Pediatric disorders
• Neurological disorders
• Amputation
• Decreased mobility and endurance
• A recent mastectomy

You do not have to know how to swim or wear a bathing suit to receive aquatic physical therapy. Aquatic therapy is available at the Maury County YMCA or at Maury Regional Sports Physical Therapy. If you use a wheelchair for mobility, there is a lift chair to assist getting you in and out of the YMCA pool.

The Maury Regional Sports Physical Therapy satellite utilizes the HydroWorx® 600, which offers a variable speed treadmill within the pool that increases in speed at safe increments to provide low-impact therapy using water resistance. For additional resistance, the pool has a jet system that is essential for competitive sports performance training, swimming or deep tissue massage.
